REVENUE CYCLE MANAGER (Healthcare)
Remuneration: NI,000,000 – N1,500,000 pm + Attractive Benefits (depending on experience + yrs of experience)
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
To oversees a healthcare organization’s entire financial life cycle, from patient registration and insurance verification to final payment collection and denial management.
JOB SUMMARY
- To leads the billing and collections team to maximize cash flow,
- Minimize billing errors, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations.
- This role optimizes financial performance by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and fixing workflow gaps.
- Creating and implementing policies that ensure the accuracy of patient billing information
- Overseeing the staff of the revenue cycle department
- Managing accounts
- Communicating with insurance providers
- Analyzing contracts
- Tracking metrics, such as coding error rates, patient engagement and billing turnaround times
- Implementing policy shifts to reduce errors and improve patient outcomes
RESPONSIBILITIES
Process Oversight: Manage end-to-end operations including patient pre-registration, charge capture, claims submission, payment posting, and accounts receivable.
Management: Track claim rejections, lead appeals, and resolve complex billing disputes with insurance providers.
Team Leadership: Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate billing, coding, and collections staff.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor financial metrics like collection rates, coding error numbers, and days in accounts receivable (AR), then present reports to senior leadership.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with clinical, finance, and IT teams to upgrade software, fix coding bottlenecks, and streamline workflows.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all billing practices follow current healthcare mandates, insurance rules, and coding standards.
Qualifications / Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field.
Experience: 4 to 5+ years of experience in medical billing, healthcare finance, or revenue cycle operations.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in medical billing software, electronic health records (EHR), and Microsoft Office tools.
Knowledge Base: Strong understanding of health insurance structures, Medicare, Medicaid, and medical coding standards.
Soft Skills: Clear communication, strong problem-solving abilities, and customer service skills for patient and payer interactions
