My client an independent FMCG Foodservice business specialise in bespoke, high quality food product are currently recruiting for a brand new and very key role Director of Sales.
THE ROLE
As Director of Sales, you will be responsible for:
Ensure the department hit/exceeds annual sales and margin targets
Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand customer base
Personally manage the key accounts with larger customers
Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
Identify potential new areas of business growth both with existing customers and new markets in conjunction with the head of commercial
Lead, manage, train and develop the Field Sales, TeleSales and Customer Service teams
Work closely with the Operations team to ensure projected sales can be supported by the operation
Reporting to the wider business on functional areas performance, attending monthly senior leadership meetings and Board Meetings as and when required
REQUIREMENTS
You MUST have experience at Senior Sales Management Level within the FMCG Foodservice arena
Provable track record of increasing sales in Foodservice.
Strong relationships and connections within the foodservice and wholesale sector
Proven ability to lead and develop a team, strong focus on learning and development
Number-oriented with strong math skills and well-developed business senses
Excellent sales and negotiation skills
Excellent communication skills
Financial and technical knowledge sufficient to prepare sales budgets, model sales opportunities to deliver product lines at the right cost
