GROUP HEAD OF IT & INFRASTRUCTURE

Remuneration: N36M + very attractive company benefits

Location: Abuja, Nigeria

We’re working with a fast-growing Fin-Tech Software business who are on the hunt for an experienced Head of IT / Infrastructure Manager who can transform the infrastructure of this organisation and manage clients on their behalf.

The role will involve taking ownership of the company’s Windows-based external hosting arrangements and internal IT infrastructure and ensuring implementation and maintenance are aligned with the Group Security Policies.

THE ROLE

• Input into the company’s strategic direction,
• Managing external and internal IT infrastructure budgets and supplier engagements,
• Leadership and people management of the IT and Infrastructure team.

ESSENTIALS

* Experience in managing physical and virtualised Windows environments.

* Strong knowledge of IIS, SQL Server and Windows Server and their management.

* Excellent knowledge of Windows based resilience, scalability, high-availability and DR practices in physical, VMWare and Azure environments

* Technically proficient with a hands-on background and skillset in a Microsoft based ICT infrastructure.

* Great communication with clients for all aspects of hosting – migration, management and planning with the ability to explain technical solutions to a variety of audiences and key stakeholders.

* Expertise in managing deployments, security hardening, monitoring and reporting.

* People manager with experience to lead, develop and continually motivate the team.

* Sound experience of budget management

* Have a strong knowledge of ICT best practice.

* Ability to apply best practices and continual improvement to hosting.

* Knowledge of Azure hosting best practices from IaaS through PaaS and onto SaaS

* Understanding of Cisco, Fortinet and Azure firewalls

* Understanding of Dev Ops and ability to manage demand within it.

* Oversee server monitoring, capacity management, reporting and service provision.

* Experience of using coaching and mentoring skills to develop your team Project and Time management.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Private Cloud Infrastructure management

Experience / Qualifications required:

* A degree or equivalent in Computer Science or IT; demonstrable equivalent professional knowledge

* Experience within IT Management

* Experience deploying within VMWare and Azure environments.

* Experience of implementing procedures and policies

* Experience working in a software vendor environment is advantageous.

* Financial software experience is also advantageous.
