HAEMATOLOGIST

Remuneration: N36,000,000 – N48,000,000 + additional benefits (based on experience)

Location: Lagos Island, Lagos

We are currently looking to bring on board a professional and skilled Haematologist, to be part of a edical Team of an International Health Institution. This is an urgent requirement.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical Consultations: Examine patients, review medical histories, and conduct physical assessments.

Laboratory Analysis: Perform and interpret tests like complete blood counts (CBC), blood films, and bone marrow biopsies under a microscope.

Treatment Administration: Manage therapies including chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and bone marrow stem cell transplants.

Multidisciplinary Teamwork: Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, specialist nurses, and biomedical scientists to coordinate patient care.

Consultancy: Provide 24-hour advisory services to emergency, intensive care, and general practice medical teams regarding blood clotting or haemorrhages.

CONDITIONS TREATED

Malignant Disorders: Leukaemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma.

Benign Disorders: Anaemia, sickle cell disease, haemophilia, and thrombosis.

KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Medical Degree: Completion of an accredited medical school followed by general and specialized clinical training.

Analytical Skills: High precision in reading complex laboratory data and cell morphology.

Communication: Strong interpersonal abilities to explain severe diagnoses and treatment options to patients and their families.
