IT & DIGITAL STRATEGY MANAGER

Remuneration: N700,000 – N800,000 pm + Other Coy. Bens.

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos, Island

The role will also be responsible for driving the digital strategy for the client and ensure all software and technology applications used by them are fit for the business.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Network & Server Infrastructure

  • Administers computer networks and related computing environments including servers, routers, switches, storage arrays, virtual hosts / hypervisors, the

Wide Area Network (WAN), and the Local Area Network (LAN).

  • Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of infrastructure service delivery methods and procedures.
  • Installs, configures and supports new and existing servers and network infrastructure
  • Performs data backups and disaster recovery operations.
  • Ensure security of data, servers and storage by implementing proper security software and settings, backup, verification procedures, updates and other appropriate security measures
  • Monitors server and storage health and performance; remediate issues detrimental to the health or performance of systems
  • Identifies recurring hardware and software problems and recommends plans for prevention and resolution

Application Support

  • Advocates information technology security “best practices”
  • Ensures all systems applications are up to date to avoid security incidences
  • Ensures all company applications are up to date and running on the most recent operating system
  • Test fixes to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
  • Installs, patches, and upgrades hardware and software in accordance with the company’s life cycle management policy
  • Active directory management

 

System Support

  • Performs day-to-day systems administration functions such as managing user accounts and profiles, and maintaining hardware and software inventory and licenses (VPN, Microsoft Active Directory)
  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals.
  • Responsible for overall system and infrastructure availability and develop a resilient infrastructure to reduce failures.
  • Completes setup and configuration of company laptops and desktops and troubleshooting of these devices as well.
  • Monitors, analyzes, troubleshoots any IT technical issues and resolves in a courteous, professional, and timely manner in person or via email, telephone and/or other electronic medium.

Asset Management

  • Plan and manage budget for IT assets
  • Responsible for management of the rollout and support of hardware and software, including PCs, printers, phones, other IT resources, and productivity tools such as Outlook and MSOffice
  • Plan and implement upgrades needed to maintain service levels.
  • Maintain the necessary project plans and documentation of all system builds and modifications.
  • Works with vendors on hardware warranty issues.

Training and Development

  • Trains and enhances user knowledge regarding computer software and hardware.
  • Maintain a knowledge-based document for IT operations and functions
  • Ensure end-users are fully enabled to meet the organization’s strategic objectives via the use of IT.

Digital Strategy

  • Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization.
  • Work with respective departments and stakeholders to identify, deploy and manage technology applications for their processes
  • Lead the Company in the digital transformation of the business

 

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

▪ Degree in a related IT discipline with minimum of 7 years relevant IT Experience.

▪ Certifications in Microsoft/Cisco/ITIL an advantage.

▪ Experience with desktop and server operating systems i.e., Windows / Cisco Network Environment.

▪ Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required.

▪ Solid technical background in a hosted services environment including infrastructure networks, hardware, software and telecommunications

▪ Ability to identify incident trends to elevate incidents in accordance with standard protocols

▪ Able to gather relevant information systematically to troubleshoot and resolve issues

▪ Ability to work in a team environment

▪ Good analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills

▪ Ability to maintain good working relationships with third party service providers and vendors

▪ Broad knowledge of technical, developmental, application, business, and current trends in IT.

▪ Highly mature with strong interpersonal skills

▪ Fluency in Microsoft applications: word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.

▪ Excellent collaborative skills.
