MEDICAL OFFICERS

Remuneration: N650,000 – N950,000 pm + additional benefits, depending on skills and experience

Location: Lagos Island, Lagos

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Officer to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Officer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and promoting overall wellness. Your role will involve collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and adhering to medical protocols and standards, diagnoses and treats patient illnesses, performs medical procedures, and manages clinical care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Patient Care & Treatment: Examine patients, take medical histories, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications.
• Emergency Response: Handle acute medical emergencies, conduct first-line resuscitation, and stabilize critical patients.
• Procedures & Consultations: Perform minor medical procedures and refer complex or specialized cases to consultants.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient files, treatment records, and administrative reports.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with nurses, pharmacists, and support staff to ensure smooth daily facility operations.
• Health Education: Provide wellness counseling and preventive health guidance to patients and their families.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
• Licensure: Full registration and a current practicing license with the relevant national medical board (such as the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria – MDCN).
• Experience: Generally 2 to 5 years of post-graduation or post-NYSC clinical experience in a hospital setting.
• Certifications: Often requires or prefers Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
