Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

To work in well-equipped hospital laboratories to conduct research, diagnose diseases, and develop products such as medicines, vaccines, and solutions. Key duties include collecting samples, running tests, analyzing data, and ensuring safety standards are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Research and Analysis: Plan and conduct scientific experiments to study microorganism growth, behavior, and genetics.

Diagnostic Testing: Isolate, culture, and identify bacteria and microorganisms to diagnose infectious diseases and inform treatment.

Quality Control: Monitor environmental conditions and test products—such as food, water, and pharmaceuticals—to ensure quality and safety.

Product Development: Develop new vaccines, antibiotics, and industrial enzymes.

Documentation: Write technical reports, research papers, and update documentation of experimental findings.

Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and quality standards, such as Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and cGMP.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, or a related field is typically required.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in laboratory techniques like polymerase chain reaction (PCR), microbial culturing, staining, and microscopy.

Data Analysis: Strong skills in using specialized laboratory software and bioinformatics tools.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills for presenting research at conferences and writing reports.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail for conducting precise experiments and tracking microorganisms.
