OPERATIONS MANAGER
Remuneration: N1,000,000 – N1,200,000 pm (based on experience) + Other Bens
Location: Victoria Island Lagos
Supervises: Operations Team, Head of Facilities, Front Desk Supervisor and Patient Coordinator
External & Internal Relations: Consultants/Specialists, Patients/Relatives, Administrative Teams and Vendors
Our Client is a reputable outpatient diagnostic and specialty care clinic located in Victoria Island, Lagos. They offer consultations, imaging, diagnostics, and personalized patient services aimed at delivering excellence in outpatient healthcare
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITY:
The Operations Manager will oversee all non-clinical operations within the clinic to ensure seamless daily functions, exceptional patient service, and regulatory compliance. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to drive operational excellence and team performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operational Management
o Oversee daily operational activities to ensure smooth clinic functioning.
o Implement process improvements to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
o Ensure the availability and maintenance of medical and administrative supplies, clinic equipment, and facility infrastructure.
o Collaborate with medical staff and other departments to ensure aligned goals.
- Patient Experience & Front Office Supervision
o Supervise front desk, call center, and patient coordination teams.
o Ensure timely and professional handling of patient inquiries, appointments, and complaints.
o Monitor and improve patient flow and satisfaction.
o Maintain effective communication between administrative and clinical teams.
- Vendor & Facilities Oversight
o Manage outsourced services such as catering, cleaning, and security.
o Oversee facility maintenance, housekeeping, and environmental standards.
o Manage vendor relationships, negotiate service agreements, and monitor contract compliance and performance.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance
o Ensure compliance with regulatory standards including JCI and ISO.
o Support internal audits and quality improvement programs.
o Maintain documentation for policies, incidents, and service reports.
- Health & Safety / Risk Management
o Enforce safety protocols and emergency procedures.
o Act as the on-site coordinator during emergency situations.
o Coordinate Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) and infection control training.
o Implement risk mitigation strategies and monitor outcomes.
- Leadership & Administration
o Lead and support operations staff through coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
o Participate in administrative meetings and strategic planning.
o Maintain confidentiality in all sensitive matters.
- Stakeholder Communication
o Serve as a liaison between operations, clinical teams, patients, and external partners.
o Address escalated issues promptly and professionally.
o Ensure communication flows efficiently across all levels of staff.
QUALIFICATION & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (required)
- MBA or equivalent (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory operations role within a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with EMR systems preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

- Operational efficiency metrics (e.g., wait times, staff productivity)
